Fil produces Shatta, the traditional Palestinian chilli condiment. Originating from Gaza, Shatta can be found next to salt, pepper and olive oil on most Palestinian dining tables. With recipes passed down through generations, founders Karim, Zee and Layth struggled to find a fresh, high-quality Shatta anywhere in Europe, so they took matters into their own hands.

Each jar of Shatta made is a celebration of culture, which they are proud to be able to share with you.
Contemporary - Traditional Shatta is based on recipes often handed down over generations, with grandma being the latest custodian. The team wanted to create a Shatta that grandma would be proud of, but at the same time explore flavours that take inspiration from the other cuisines and cultures from around the world - traditional Shatta with a contemporary twist.
Community - For the Fil team, life revolves around the dining table. Shatta, ever present on the dining tables growing up, is not just a chilli condiment, it represents years of memories from gatherings with friends and family; equal parts spice and nostalgia.
