Pala Eyewear - long lasting, quality eyewear

Pala Eyewear began life in 2016, founded on the ambition to produce high quality, long-lasting eyewear to fund change in eye care in Africa. Every pair of Pala Eyewear dold gives someone in Africa sight. Pala Eyewear is well known for its commitment to people and the planet as a B Corp Certified business. They have set the ethical standard for responsible eyewear products and manufacturing over the past decade, while simultaneously creating positive social and environmental impact.

SEE THE WORLD BETTER

Through their giving to eye care projects, through the benefits to their customers of their sustainable eyewear and the stories of hope they share in their journal, these three key areas of the Pala Eyewear business connect deeply with their mission to ‘see the world better.’ For every pair of sunglasses sold, Pala gives back to eye care programmes across Africa. They aim to support long-term change by providing grants to vision centres, dispensaries and training programmes through their charity partner, Vision Action.

BETTER FOR THE PLANET

More eco-friendly frames and lenses, a case made from recycled plastic waste, a soft bag from recycled PET bottles. Pala packaging is fully recyclable as well as being vegan and cruelty-free. Pala Eyewear uses the finest, most eco-friendly materials available, expertly handcrafted in small batches.

Their suppliers meet the highest standards of manufacturing and compliance. All their direct suppliers sign a code of conduct. They use plant-based bio-acetate for all their frames as well as more eco-friendly lenses for their non-polarised frames.

FRAME CRAFT

Pala’s design philosophy is to make eyewear that lasts. Buy better, buy less. Pala uses the very best Italian craftsmanship to make their frames. Created by the Marchese family at their workshop in Northern Italy, they produce small, limited batches of frames. A more sustainable solution to manufacturing and the chance to create some unique collections.

ETHICAL PRESCRIPTION GLASSES

Pala Eyewear spectacles have been handcrafted in Italy from the finest bio-acetate, lovingly made to last. They do not sell prescription lenses online as we are keen to promote local opticians and the strong level of service they can provide.
