During a journey through the ethereal landscapes of Connemara, Ireland, founder Catherine Logue was captivated by its stark beauty and solitude, sparking the inspiration to create Hibernicis Bodycare. Identifying a need for a range that combined luxurious application, skin-feel, superior ingredients, and efficacy, alongside her wish to promote equal care for all of our skin, she embarked on its development in 2015.

Their ongoing commitment is to increase the use of the most natural ingredients available. At present, Hibernicis products contain a minimum of 95% natural and naturally derived ingredients.
Wherever possible, the team prioritises natural ingredients. When this is not feasible, they opt for naturally derived ingredients—natural substances modified to optimise performance. Only when no alternative exists do they resort to synthetic ingredients, all of which are effective, safe, and globally approved by regulatory authorities.

In the ancient Celtic world, water was the source of life and health. Celts bathed in sacred rivers and offered gifts to the springs and rivers. In ancient Irish medical tracts, it is found that bathing was frequently prescribed for healing.
Layers of language
Travel across Ireland and you will come across pillars of stone with lines etched along their edges. Each row of notches is part of an ancient system of runes known as Ogham. At Hibernicis, we honour and celebrate Ireland's cultural and linguistic heritage. The Hibernicis brand is also written in Ogham on the front of each product and is given a Gaelic name, complete with its translation and approximate pronunciation.
